The International Drought Resilience Observatory (IDRO) is a global platform being developed by Yale CEA in collaboration with the UNCCD and international partners. Leveraging Yale CEA’s SEVA data visualization platform and BEEM Lab immersive technologies, IDRO combines interactive mapping, advanced analytics, and AI-driven insights with compelling storytelling to monitor, analyze abd strenghen resilience to drought. By connecting global datasets with case studies and local knowledge, the platform enables decision-makers, researchers, and communities to Anticipate, Prepare, and Adapt more effectively at national, regional, and global levels. Announced at COP16 in Riyadh in December 2024,  IDRO was highlighted as a major milestone in addressing the escalating global drought crisis.
